 3 Types of Industrial Blenders

There are dozens of practical uses for blending machines in various industries and businesses, and there are several different types of industrial blenders. Learn more about different types of blending machines and how they can be used for your projects or business.

  1. Ribbon Blender

Ribbon blenders are excellent for mixing or blending delicate ingredients or heat-sensitive materials. Ribbon blenders are best used for mixing dry powders or pastes together, and they are used for mixing things like animal feed, pharmaceuticals, baking mixes, and so much more. These machines also come made with various materials and finishes to suit your unique needs.

  1. Paddle Blenders

Paddle blenders are similar to ribbon blenders, though they have paddles attached to the ends of the blades. Paddle blenders are even more gentle than ribbon blenders, and they work beautifully for many food service tasks, like mixing slurries or blending cold salads. You can even add a heating jacket to cook food while it blends, or you can add a cooling jacket to keep products at a cool temperature throughout the blending process.

  1. Rotary Blenders

Unlike ribbon and paddle blenders, rotary blenders are not all that common in the United States. They are instead used frequently in Europe, and they are also unique in that they do not contain any moving parts inside the machine. Rotary blenders tend to last much longer than other types of blenders, and they can still blend quickly and thoroughly. They may cost a bit more upfront, but they offer a more efficient method of mixing and have much fewer maintenance costs.

No matter which type of blender you end up choosing, it’s important to invest in a quality blender from a trusted retailer. Before purchasing an industrial blender, research the possible materials, finishes, size of blenders you can purchase, as this will help you narrow down your decision easily.
